La Commode de Jack
Made in locally + sustainably-sourced solid American beech with a natural oil and wax finish, FSC-certified hardwood plywood with a durable conversion varnish finish (drawer bodies), and a base in cold rolled steel square bar, this dresser was commissioned for a child’s bedroom. The use of random length boards, both heartwood and sapwood, makes for an appealing and varied surface, while also minimizing waste. The blue drawers inside add a light and playful touch to the piece. Special push-to-release drawer slides preclude the need for knobs or handles, giving the dresser a particularly clean look.
